PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs):
I. Graduates will have awareness on the need for self development and self discipline so as to adapt to the competitive environment. II. Graduates will be able to apply analytical skills and technical concepts for social development. III. Graduates will be able to work as efficient team players and lead a successful professional life by applying leadership, communication, and entrepreneurship skills. IV. Graduates will possess deep knowledge in Mechanical engineering to formulate, solve and analyze problems during their future endeavors. V. Graduates will be able to keep themselves updated with the current engineering trends.
a) Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. b) Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. c) Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability. d) Ability to function in multidisciplinary teams. e) Ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. f) Understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. g) Ability to communicate effectively. h) The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context. i) Recognition of the need for, and ability to engage in life-long learning. j) Knowledge of contemporary issues, k) Ability to use the techniques, skills, and engineering tools necessary for engineering practice. l) Ability to undertake research activities in various areas like machine design, thermal science, manufacturing process, material science, industrial engineering and management. m) Ability to use modern engineering software and related equipments for the analysis of engineering problems.
