The B.Tech course in Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2005 with an in take of 60 students per year.  The department of mechanical engineering is fully geared up to provide the students an intensive and quality education that takes them through the fundamental concepts of the subject along with due thrust on practical orientation, so as to enable the students the right choice for industry, eventually to equip them to climb up the ladders to attain their cherished goals.

 
They are provided with an excellent opportunity to acquaint themselves with the practical applications and get hands-on experience to make them highly professional and industry-ready. The Department has its own building that comprises of seminar & drawing halls, department library and well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art facilities. 
 
The enthusiastic team of faculty members and technical staff with varied experience in premier institutions, utilizing the excellent infrastructural facilities act as the backup team to nurse and nurture the budding engineers with all the help and guidance from the management of MBCET. The competent faculty team includes two Professors, twelve Assistant Professors and four lecturers. Their areas of specialization include Production & Industrial engineering, Computer Aided Design, Refrigeration & Cryogenics etc. The highly skilled technical team consists of workshop superintendent and other lab instructors.
