Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest, broadest, and best-established of the Engineering Disciplines. The Discipline is constantly and evolving in response to new scientific discoveries and societal needs. The Department focuses on imparting a solid theoretical foundation across a vast spectrum of technologies along with hands-on work experience.

The Undergraduate course in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) was started in the year 2005 with an intake of 60 students per year. Now the department has intake strength of 126 students per year for undergraduate course. Postgraduate course with specialization in Machine Design was started in the year 2012 with an intake of 18 students per year. The Department of Mechanical engineering is fully geared up to provide the students an intensive and quality education that takes them through the fundamental concepts of the subject along with due thrust on practical orientation, so as to enable them to be the right choice for industry, and to equip them to climb up the ladders to attain their cherished goals.

The Department has an excellent infrastructure that comprises of seminar & drawing halls, department library and well-equipped laboratories which include Fluid mechanics and Hydraulic Machines lab, Heat Engines Lab, Machine Shop, CAD Lab, CNC Lab, Research Lab, Mechanical Engineering Lab and Thermal Engineering lab with state-of-the-art facilities.

An excellent dynamic team of Faculty Members, with different areas of specialization including Machine Design, Thermal Engineering, Propulsion Engineering, Refrigeration & Cryogenics, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Computer Aided Design, with the guidance of expert senior professors having varied experience in the field of Academic, Research and Industry , act as the backup team to nurse and nurture the budding Engineers with the necessary support and guidance from the Management of MBCET. The highly skilled technical team including the Workshop Superintendent and other Lab Instructors provide the necessary support for achieving their goal.
