Workshops/Seminars Conducted

•   Mr Biju Varghese chaired the session on 'Robotics' and 'Cloud Computing' in the National Conference on 'Recent Developments in Science and Technology in India' organised by the Swadeshi Science Movement, Kerala and Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology, Trivandrum held on February 25 - 26, 2011 at MBCET.

•   Mr. Biju Varghese conducted a one day session on "Compiler Construction" on July 1, 2010 as part of a two week Staff Development Programme conducted by at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Kochi in association with NIT Calicut. 

•   Invited talk by Mr. Biju B Varghese on ‘FOSS, Linux and C Programming’ followed by Lab sessions, at DST-FIST sponsored National Workshop on Electronics and Computer Experiments, Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum.

•    Mr. Biju Varghese conducted a two day workshop on "Lexer and Parser using ANTLR" on June 25 - 26, 2009 at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Kochi.    

•    One day seminar on “Programme Development and Testing” was conducted on 18 Sep 2009 by Mr. D Mohan Kumar Head of Computer Division, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum.

•    A workshop on “Familiarisation of Data Transaction with reference to Library Management Software” was conducted from 08 Jan 2009 to 16 Jan 2009.

•    A seminar on “Networking the Academic Community” was conducted by Prof M Harikumar HOD, IT Dept on 09 Dec 2008.

•    A seminar on “Satellites, Orbits and Chandrayan” was organised by the department on 14 Nov 2008. Well known dignitaries and scientist in the field of Space Technology participated and delivered a talk. ISRO scientist Shri P Radhakrishnan enlightened the students about India’s national programme ‘Chandrayan’.

•   Mr. Biju Varghese successfully completed a one week course on LAN Cabling Systems conducted by Tyco Electronics from 15 - 23rd July 2010

•   Mr. Biju Varghese attended a one week Deep Dive Faculty Enablement Programme conducted by Infosys from 18 - 22nd January 2010

•    Mrs. S Asha and Indu V. participated in the Teacher Training Workshop organized by Wipro held from December 14 to 19th, 2009 and a two day advanced workshop from January 19 to 20th, 2010.

•    Faculty of the Department attended and participated in the Workshop organized by Kerala Education Grid Centre IIITM-K on Analysis and Design of Algorithms - Part II held on August 26-27, 2005.

•    Mr Biju Varghese and Mrs. Asha attended a one month Training on Computer Networking (CCNA) in 2005

•    Mrs. S Asha and Anita John participated in the Workshop organized by Kerala Education Grid Centre IIITM-K on Analysis and Design of Algorithms - Part I held on April 2-3, 2005.
