Laboratories
The following well equipped laboratories containing state of the art equipments have been set up to enable the students to undergo the practical classes.
2. Communication lab
3. Digital Circuits Lab
4. Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab
5. Microwave & Advanced Communication Lab
6. Digital Signal Processing Lab
All these laboratories are equipped with the latest models of equipments. The students make optimum use of these laboratories for their practical and project works. The latest versions of simulation software like ORCAD, MATLAB, development kits, Image Processing as well as Audio Processing tools have been installed in the Digital Signal Processing lab. Digital Storage Oscilloscopes are also available in DSP lab. The students are given rigorous training in the design and implementation of circuits and systems using MATLAB and PSPICE and they use them for the design, analysis and simulation of complex electronic circuits required for their project work. The circuits simulated can then be fabricated quite effectively on the printed circuit boards in the PCB Lab.
Microwave Test Benches operating in the X band with all the associated components and with facility to conduct experiments using Gunn Oscillator and Klystron Oscillator Sources enable the students to carry out a variety of experiments. A fully fledged set up with X- band antenna and turn table provide facilities to carry out radiation pattern measurements. Fiber optic Communication laboratory with facilities to conduct the latest experiments are also set up in this laboratory.
Microprocessor Systems Laboratory is well equipped to do all experiments in 8085 and 8086. Stepper motor, traffic light, elevator, keyboard/display, ADC and DAC cards are provided for doing interfacing experiments. 8051 microcontroller trainers and EPROM programmer are provided for carrying out projects.
Digital Communication experimentation kit with facility to demonstrate the various steps involved in digital communication. Facilities to do simulations and implementations of chips in FPGAs and CPLDs of Altera and Xilinx are also set up.
