Academic Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least Forty Five percent marks in Mathematics separately and Fifty percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade. The percentage/number of seats other than NRI seats proposed to be reserved for various groups is given in College Brochure, Annexure F.Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
Entrance Exam Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Exam, KEAM 2016, conducted by Commissioner for Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala.
Age Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2016. No relaxation of age will be allowed.
The students allotted by the CEE shall remit Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) of the first year tuition fee to the bank specified by CEE, rest of the tuition fee, interest free refundable deposit, university/statutory fee and any other miscellaneous fee shall be paid by the student directly at the time of admission in the college.

Refund/Adjustment of Fees
Fees paid will be adjusted/refunded as per AICTE norms. If a candidate leaves the college after 25th July 2016, he/she will be liable for forfeiture of the fees paid and also will be liable to pay the fee for the remaining period of the whole B.Tech programme.
For the academic year 2016-17 50% of the total seats in Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology will be filled by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) from the list prepared by the CEE on the basis of merit and in accordance with reservation principles followed by Government. The college code for CEE Allotment is MBT. The remaining 50% seats will be filled up by the Management according to the merit. Of this 50%, 15% of the total seats is filled from the Non Resident Indian (NRI) category.

Preparation of Merit list and Allotment of Seats:
Subject to any orders that may be passed by the Courts, admission will be on the basis of merit only by adding marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by State Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ equivalent in the qualifying examination. The marks will be apportioned in the ratio of 50:50.

Candidates belonging to all denominations in Christian Community are eligible to be considered in the community quota seats.
Merit list for the different categories will be published in the college website/college notice boards. Selection will strictly be in the order of merit. Selected candidates will not be intimated by post and they are advised to refer to the web site /individual college notice board and appear for the interview and final selection without fail.
