Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET) was established in the year 2002 by the Malankara Catholic Church and is administered by the Malankara Catholic Educational Society of the Major Arch Diocese of Thiruvananthapuram. His Beatitude Moran Mor Cyril Baselios Catholicos was the Founder and His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos – the Major Archbishop of the Malankara Catholic Church - is the Patron of the College.
